    How to you feel?

I feel like a triangle in a world of rectangles and circles, or maybe like a square peg trying to go through a round hole.

Not fitting in . . . usually a good thing in my experience. Better to express yourself and be honest with the world, finding friends where we can. Fitting in is important at work I suppose, but you have to have a place where you can be yourself and be accepted for who you are. I have probably shared my fav ee cummings quote with you before? To be just yourself in a world that is constantly trying to turn you into everybody else means to fight the hardest fight that anyone can and to never stop fighting. (Probably not exact quote, but hat's pretty close anyway)

About the trail ride post: we went to CA and were going on backpack trek in the mountains but ti got cut short when a pack mule stepped on spouse's foot on our second day. She is doing well and walking miles for fitness etc (it happened a month ago) but she still has some twinges. She was really lucky in one way because the surface was soft and gravelly where her foot happened to be (we both got pushed against the rocky cliff before she was stepped on because the mules were moving around quite a bit and the trail is onoy two feet wide). Anyway, it was scary when it happened but we met a lot of col people on the trail that we never would have gotten to know. Now we want to go back and do the trail the right way.
